Using Freelance Writers in Your Business
Freelance writers can be instrumental in making your business shine. Our writers have been working with businesses for years, and know how to change mere words into magic.
We have writers who specialize in different kinds of business communications. For instance, our marketing writers focus on making your message jump out to attract customers. They write with sizzle. Our technical writers make difficult language easy for readers to understand, without losing technical complexities and meaning.
We can do original writing or rewrites:
- Original Writing -- When consigned to do original writing, our writers will review your existing material and work closely with your staff to determine the scope and specifications of the project. They’ll continue to work closely with your people as the writing process progresses.
- Rewrites -- Our writers can rewrite your existing materials to update them or reword them.
Writing an Original Marketing Brochure
Writing something from scratch means our writers must work closely with you and your staff to make sure that your message is perfect. In the example below, we sat down with the owner of a bed and breakfast and discussed his business, who his clients were (out-of-town guests, upper income, 40-70 years old, interested in history), and the message he wanted to get across (history, romance, ghostly). He needed a basic brochure. Below is what we wrote for the inside left flap, which the owner wanted to use as a pitch to attract his visitors to the area.

Example: | Where America Began
Visit St. Augustine. See where the colonial Spaniards built their first forts in America. Take a ghost tour and listen for the whispers from the past. Explore our cobbled alleys and shops, sample our delicacies in authentic 300-year-old taverns, and relax by the seagate that once witnessed heroic battles for freedom.
Then, in the evening, sip a complimentary glass of wine on our romantic portico while the ocean breezes carry the sound of Spanish guitars playing in the local old-world eateries.
Experience your history. Experience St. Augustine. Call us today at xxx-xxx-xxxx to begin your adventure.

Rewriting Executive Bios
Rewriting starts with discussing your needs with our writers. The writer then changes your existing material. In the example below, this company’s executive bios needed to be cut down. As they existed, they were each more than 500 words long. The company wanted their executive bios rewritten to under 100 words each. Below, we’ve included just a portion of one of the bios, and our rewrite.
